Industrial Design student, Andrea Vinessa grew up in Indonesia where her father worked in a plastic manufacturing factory and where she became interested in the possibility of designing goods for entertainment. At Academy of Art University, Andrea prototypes, designs, and tests out each of her ideas with the support of her professors in an immersive and play-inducing workshop, right in the heart of in San Francisco. Her project, Buddy, is designed to help young people struggling with the sometimes uncomfortable hospital environment.
